Many technical terms have been used in this software (maybe in some other software too!), like video bitrate, framerate etc. So I'd like to present you with these kind of terms' PHYSICAL SIGNIFICANCE that is, their use in real life & how do they effect video.

This guide should be helpful even for users who don't use this software but want to know how technical video/audio terms (like frame rate, bit rate) affect the media & what are usually good settings for the same.

And yes, I'll give an explaination of the most significant features of the software. This guide will show my own user experience of video conversion.

There are many features that are mostly hidden in this software & not revealed  otherwise you use it. I'll try to uncover these in this post about Imtoo Video Converter Ultimate/ Imtoo Video Converter.

THE TERMS/FEATURES

Please don't take the definitions used, as they are, Wikipedia may give better. This post just shows the physical use of them.

The above screenshot shows the interface of Imtoo Video Converter Ultimate.

So here are the terms:

Video Stream / Codec

Bit-rate

Bit-rate, technically suggests how many bits/ video pixel data is shown every second.

Usually a good video (quality lying between HD & non-HD), has it more than 700kbps. For HD (High-Defenition)/HQ (High Quality), has bit-rate more than 1500kbps.

Frame Rate

Technically, it's the number of frames or images shown per second.
Did you know videos, in the root level, are made from pictures only!.

Usually most of the modern videos, use framing rate  23.976.

Video size

This refers to the resolution of video, that is, it's default size. this is what determines, whether a video is HD or not.

Watch out, there are videos that are HD, but have less quality (which means you can see boxes in them). Although mostly, HD videos have other features good, so they are high-quality.

Same quality\not

You can choose if you want the same quality output. This is helpful, if you just need to change the format of the media file. Like, mp4 to avi / mp3 to wma.

2-pass conversion

This feature will allow you to convert the same video twice, that is, more time required but better compression.

Mostly you would not need to check this, as using this feature will consume twice the time required.

Set Aspect Ratio

You can set the aspect ratio of the  video, that is, ratio between width*height.

The modern day popular aspect ratio is 1280*550, but you can simply set it to auto.

Audio Stream/Codec

Bitrate

This is the most significant feature, regarding audio quality, more the bit-rate, better is audio quality.

Generally, for a good audio quality, your video bit-rate should be between 112 kbps to 320K, although 128K is very preferrable & will give you a very good quality.

In today's high-quality audio output devices, 128K is very good.

Channels

Have you ever noticed while watching a movie, especially with your headphones on, you hear voices only in one side of the ear. This is what channel refers to.

"Left" means only the voices made for left ear will be heard in both ears & vice versa for "Right".

"Stereo" means default channels settings & "Reverse Stereo" converts Left Channel to Right & vice versa.

Volume Control

You can increase the volume you hear upto 150% to hear louder voices, although the sound may deteriorate a bit.

Disable Audio

With this feature, you can choose not to have audio in video.

Cut

There's an option to cut or get a segment of the video/audio, on the above side of software screen

Effects

As I said, there are many not talked about features of this software, this section covers many of them.

On the options bar (on the above side of the software), there's an option for effects, well! these are one of the most fascinating features of the software, here I'm explaining them:

Crop

This is a tool, which you'll be able to find in most common image-editing softwares, but not in many video-editors. You can choose a portion of video screen which you want.

Untick the "Keep Aspect Ratio" option for custom cropping with custom video size.

Image Brightness, Contrast & Saturation

You can adjust brightness, saturation & contrast of the video, according to your choice.

Watermark

You can add your own image watermark on the video, as your digital signature showing the copyright owner of the video.

Effect

These are effects like Black & White, Oil Painting etc., to add beautiful touch to your video.

Audio

Here you can add, delete or change audio of a video. You can also have 2 audio Streams for the same video (Dual-Audio).

Subtitles/Captions

With this, you can add Hard-Coded captions in the video, for your ease of viewing.

So these were the most significant features of the superb Imtoo Video Converter Ultimate/ Imtoo Video Converter. I hope, you liked the explanation.

Note: Please twice check the data given here, with another source, before using it for any purpose.

Please give your replies or your own review about the Cons. or Pros. of the software.
