Today I'd like to to show you a very good post about how to arrange your PC, so that, whatever you require, is in the right place & easily findable in your Computer or even your Mobile or any other device.
WHY IS IT REQUIRED
Well is that ever happened to you, while using the PC, have you experienced an issue like, you are unable to find what you want.
Consider that you wanna find a particular video on your PC, that you had saved about a month ago. If one places things anywhere & in an folder, sometimes old things are very tough to find, like the video here.
Also when one is unable to find it, another thing troubles, the fact that you know that the particular thing, you are unable to find is using, useful space in your Hard Drive & you are unable to find it or delete it.
HOW TO DO IT
Well, since I use a PC that has Windows Operating system installed, I can tell you about Windows only, but don't worry, it's like an all-round method & can be use in any other operating system too.
1. So, to arrange your PC well, first, I'll place in front of you, some general categories/Folders:
Games----Setups
Softwares----Setups
Songs----Video, Albums, Other
Videos----Funny, Entertainment, Other
Presentations----Office, Home, Other
Movies
Downloads
The "----" Sign shows the further categories (sub-categories) that should be present in your arrangement.
So these were the basic categories, that generally people have.
2. If you use Windows PC, at-least two drives, like "C://" & "D://", should be fine. It is not recommended to store anything very important in "C://" drive, as if Windows gets corrupted, "C://" has to be formatted & all data in it will be deleted.
So, arrange everything, given in step 1 to your Drive other than main Windows Drive, generally "C://".
Note: "C://" here refers to the main Windows Drive in your PC.
3. Now simply use the Copy-Paste & the Cut-Paste techniques to move your files at the right place. You can also change the categories names according to your needs or add / remove any category/Folder.
Also if you can't find, where to put a particular file, you can simply move it to "Downloads" Folder.
Therefore, personalize your PC & Have fun! Turn on the songs with it, if you want to, or you are feeling bored.
