Backup Bluestacks Online Installer as Offline

Hey Friends!

So as the heading states, now, I'd like to talk about downloading Bluestacks complete setup (not Online Installer), only once, so that there won't be a need to download it again & again, while re-installing. That is, "Backup Bluestacks Online Installer as Offline" for the Future essence.

The heading may sound a little confusing, don't worry I'm gonna articulate some explanation about it, right now & I hope you understand it!

Note: There's already a post/article about Properly Downloading Bluestacks & Install, today, this a post for further use or you can say, tutorial about one of Bluestacks' features. So check the following URL for Installing & details about Bluestacks itself:

THE THING

So explaining a li'l about what "The Thing" / The Post is about.

Bluestacks is a software that allows its users to run Android Apps on PC. A lot can be done with the help of this superlative application. By the way, Bluestacks is in Beta Version (not fully stable).

Now for downloading or Installing Bluestacks on your PC, a user needs to first download the Bluestacks Online Installer (generally about 10 MB). That online installer further downloads the actual Bluestacks' complete files, in order to install Bluestacks, which may even reach 150 MB.

If one gets a problem in Bluestacks, after installing it, then he/she might need to re-install Bluestacks by again Downloading 150 MB Complete Files, which may take a lot a of time & Internet Bandwidth too. Added to that, there's electricity wastage too, for running your machine.

So, for now, I'm gonna give a way to download these 150 MB Files only once, afterwards, you might not require to download these large files, in order to re-install Bluestacks, unless you wanna upgrade it to its new latest version.

THE METHOD

So, the method to backup Bluestacks Complete Setup files is based on finding the location where Bluestacks Setup files are saved on the PC & once they're downloaded, they can copied & pasted anywhere. After that when you'll run the online setup (10 MB one), yes, it might show "Download Files" or "Downloading Runtime Data", but that download may culminate in no time.

So the ideal way to backup Bluestacks complete setup files can be illustrated as follows:

1. Download Bluestacks online setup (nearly 10 MB) from its official website, as in the following link:

2. Run the online setup, follow the Installation Process & Completely let Bluestacks be downloaded by online Installer & let it be run.

3. Now, before commencing backing Bluestacks up, we'll need to enable Hidden Files & Folders on Windows.

To enable Hidden Files & Folders on Windows, open "Computer" / "My Computer", press "Alt" Keyboard key, choose "Tools" in the Menu Bar that appears. Next navigate to "Folder Options" >> "View" tab >> check the circle "Show hidden files, folders and drives" >> "Apply" and "OK".

4. Next, navigate to "C:\ProgramData" (the directory should now be visible, after enabling viewing of Hidden Files & Folders).

5. There should be folder, "BlueStacksSetup" (about 150 MB). Copy that & Paste it somewhere you would like to backup the important files.

6. Now, whenever you wanna re-install Bluestacks. Simply use the online installer (10 MB one) as usual, making sure that this 150 MB "BlueStacksSetup" folder is there in "C:\ProgramData".

The installer won't download the files then.

Note: Make sure that the Online Installer you're gonna use for this process remains same (not of any other version of Bluestacks itself).
