If you are interested in some other things, related to IDM (Internet Download Manager), here are some posts about it, that I've recently published:
1. First-up, on the top of this post, I've already given link to my Personal Experienced Review about IDM.
2. Here's another hidden feature of IDM (Internet Download Manager), Queuing Downloads for arranging large number of downloads:

3. For having complete Resume support for downloads in IDM (Refreshing Download Address), here's the post explaining it:

Note: I may not responsible for any loss, by the use of this method, it's just a review!
THE REAL DEAL
So the real thing is that you can provide Logins for your downloads. Some users may already be familiar with it & may have got a clue, by reading the title only.
But still I'll try to completely explain this feature.
So consider a situation when you download something after giving your password. It can be your Email ID, a file hosting website like, Rapidshare.com, Mediafire.com, or any other related thing.
You might have noticed that if you retry/resume this download after 5 hours or so, it won't work & may require you to go-to your web Browser again, Login/Sign in & then start the download & Refresh its Download Address.
(Refreshing Download Address is another very nice technique for downloading using IDM, I've already mentioned it under "Other References" Section.)
In some other case, your download may even stop in between & would ask you to Refresh Download Address using Web Browser.
If in that case, you've left your PC Turned on to download. All the time spent, may go in vain.
So in order to avoid that Hassle, what you can do is, provide your Login to Internet Download Manager (IDM). If you don't trust on IDM, you can opt not to provide your Username & Password.
But if you give your Login Username & Password to IDM, you'll not need to worry. IDM will automatically login & Refresh Download Address.
Here's the screenshot, of Properties, where you can provide Login & Password for a website on IDM (method given in points, after screenshot):
To provide your Login to IDM, simply:
1. Right-Click that particular download in IDM Control Center/Main Menu & click on Properties.
2. On the lower section of Properties page, there will be space to provide Username & Password. Simply Enter them & Press "OK".
That's it!
You'll now have an AUTOMATIC COMPLETE RESUME SUPPORT on your Download.
I hope you liked the above tutorial.
