Hey People

Today I'd love to show you a method to get your Contacts, which you have already Backed up in VCard Files (.vcf), to Bluestacks for PC.

Note: This post is regarding Bluestacks 0.7's method, to see the way to Import .vcf Contact Files into Bluestacks' current (17-03-2014) latest version 0.8, check the following link:

For Samsung devices (Smart Phones/Tablets), in the below post, I've given a method to backup Contacts, in VCard Files (.vcf) Format, here:

The benefit of importing Contacts is that, then you can use those contacts in Bluestacks for apps like "Whatsapp" & "Viber", which require a Smart Phone & an Internet Connection.

But Bluestacks doesn't require you to have a Smart Phone to run "Whatsapp" & "Viber".
PRE-REQUISITES

The following Pre-requirements are must, for getting contacts into Bluestacks for PC.

1. .vcf ( VCard Files) Contacts

So for this method to work, we should already have our Contacts in .vcf Format, on PC. In the above link, I've given a method to backup your contacts in .vcf format for Samsung Devcies.

For other Devices, I do not currently know any method.

2. Bluestacks for PC

Of-course you'll need to have Bluestacks installed on your PC, to import contacts into it. Here, I've given a post about installing Bluestacks:

THE REAL DEAL

Now that we have our Contacts in .vcf  (VCard Files) Format, let us start getting them into Bluestacks.

1. First up, you'll need to have Contacts in Bluestacks SD Card. For doing that, simply move your .vcf files folder, in "Documents" or "My Documents."

"Documents" or "My Documents", is the Shared folder between Bluestacks Virtual SD Card & your PC. If you want details about this, see the post below:

Note: You'll require the latest version of Bluestacks to do it.

2. Open Bluestacks for PC & on its bottom-right corner of the Bluestacks Screen, Click on "Settings" Button.

3. Click on Manage Contacts option.

4. Under the "Contacts" Tab, click on "Options" Button, on the Bottom-Left Corner of the Page. Use the "Import/Export Contacts", option then. And Further, "Import From SD Card."

See the screenshot, below, to observe the "Import/Export" Option:

5. Wait until the Loading process finishes. It can take quite some time depending upon your PC Speed & Number of Contacts.

6. Now choose whether to import all Contacts or some of them. I chose all of them, so I'll recommend it.

Now you'll have your contacts inside Bluestacks, which can then be used for Apps, like "Whatsapp" & "Viber."

Here, in the below given link, I've given a method to Download & Install Whatsapp on Bluestacks for PC:

    1. Hello!

I think you want to transfer your contact files from Bluestacks to PC.

To do it, first using a File Exploring App in Bluestacks (like ES Files Explorer) you must first get (copy/cut) those files into a folder called "bstfolder" & then to "Documents". The exact location being:

      sdcard/bstfolder/Documents

After that those files should be accessible in "Documents" folder of your PC. I hope your issue gets resolved with this. :)

    1. Hi!

I'll recommend creating a new empty folder where you can transfer the contacts in bluestacks sd card. Also, for the latest bluestacks, use the post in the link below:
